As usual, don't forget to ask some thoughtful questions about each picture to get your child talking and thinking.

Nonna and Me Website

We've updated our website! Take a look...  New Website

The Nonna and Me website is now new and improved. We think you'll like the new format.
I've had a lot of people ask me how, and why, Nonna and Me was started.

So here's the story...

Nonna and Me  was founded in 2009 by Sandi Zobrest, a former 1st grade teacher.
Sandi has a B.A. and a Masters Degree In Elementary Education. Her son, Jim, was born profoundly deaf, so in 1974 she set out on a mission to give him an early advantage in learning language and other readiness skills he would need in the classroom.  She created activities and materials in her home to help in this process.
Nonna and Me  wasn't formed until Sandi's first grandchild was born. This bright and happy little girl was born prematurely and was experiencing some developmental delays in language. So Sandi started with a simple PowerPoint presentation that introduced each letter of the alphabet with the sound that letter made. Then she added words that began with that sound. She inserted animations and sound effects too. Her granddaughter loved it and was quickly developing necessary language skills. She realized that if she could help her grandchild, then she could help other children too!
With the help of her son Sam, Sandi began developing Nonna and Me  products. Together they fine tuned that presentation into what is now the ABCs DVD. Not wanting to stop there, Sandi went on to create the ABCs Book, the ABCs Coloring Book, and a packet of 101 Activity Sheets that not only teach the alphabet, but include other readiness skills that help preschool and first grade children with reading and writing.
This venture is truly a family affair, dedicated to assisting parents by providing them with quality materials for their early learners.
