Let's Learn About Colors

Here's a fun activity that will help reinforce the following skills:
  • Color identification
  • Word recognition
  • Following directions
Start by having your child select the crayons (or paints or markers) that match the color splashes at the top of the page. Then read the color names. Encourage your child to spell each color too. Then go down to the bottom of the page and help your child read the description by each picture. Ask them to choose the correct crayon that they will need to use to color the picture, and then have them color it.

Discuss colors by asking questions like "What other things could you color red?" or "Are all ants red?" or "What is your favorite color?" You could also play a color game by asking "I see something that is black." and then have your child walk around the room and find all the things that are black.

To Print: Double click on the sheet to open it. Then right click and choose Print Picture.
